The maker of this table was presented with a smoked-glass topped occasional table top that had recently had a bespoke glass mosaic design built up on it. The remit was to provide a carcase for the top that would not obscure the mosaic. The shape of the table top dictated the shape of the table. The pictures below show the result. All wood is the pressure-treated type available in DIY stores. The "lacquering" is Crown paint. The decoration was painted in acrylics. The vertical legs of the table are made from four pieces of round black plastic electrical conduit tubing. They are decorated to resemble black lacquered bamboo legs.
